Big Bang in Extraordinary 20’s
As promised, a post about their photo book — so here goes.

Right, so let me start off with some gtop. Someone on here commented that the photobook looked more like a gtop wedding photo book, and though I’m not sure if that’s true, fact is that there’s a lot of it. To my great joy, obviously.
I love this picture because it reminds me of old-school gtop: Jiyong in his beanie, the both of them dressed casually in t-shirts; their shared dream of making music and their childhood friendship. :)
Daesung’s coat is A++ but I’m mostly adding this picture for Jiyong’s expression. He does “You’re joking right.“ like no other. Let me love that face, seriously.
People really look their most beautiful if they are laughing (genuinely laughing, not a constructed smile) and Daesung here proves that.
In a way it is strange, because when you laugh your face becomes kind of distorted (your eyes crinkle, your teeth become visible) and with some it’s more obvious than with others. Both Jiyong’s and Daesung’s faces change strongly when laughing — but with both I think they definitely look their best in those moments. :-)
This is a fascinating photo. First I only looked at Jiyong but then I noticed the little kid.
And well, Jiyong and kids is probably my favourite combination ever and the boy is super cute and there are autumn leaves (best time of year) so basically: perfect.
I might only be adding this picture because of Seungri’s jacket, which I love love love. A lot of Big Bang’s clothing really is A+ in this photo shoot, so kudos to the stylists!
(Also, Seungri distinctly reminds me of Seungska here, which is not especially relevant but which I will share anyway. ;-)
Daeri, yes please. It’s a great picture and it kind of fits with the recent influx of Daeri love, so yes, good.
Probably my favourite picture of Taeyang in the book. Usually he has this standard pose, which consists of him showing a side-profile and having one or two eyes closed — but this one is relaxed and casual, not to mention playful, and I think it goes very well with the new side we’ve seen of Taeyang lately (the one that dances at the most random moments and generally looks very very happy.)
This might as well be a Burberry ad. Has my complete approval.
If we’re talking ads: this could be one for Versace or Dior. Love love his jacket
I mentioned the gtop in the first picture, and here’s another one. I love the fact that they celebrated T.O.P’s birthday with the five of them, but I love this picture especially because it shows them doing something very normal. No performance on stage or special photo shoot, but just cutting a cake because one of them celebrates his birthday.
If you’ve followed me for awhile you’ll know that I have a big thing for fluff and general domesticity and gtop’s friendship that goes way back, and this is all three. :3
There’s a lot of good Daesung pictures in there; this one is just beautiful.
Great pic, but let me above all love Ji’s glasses and general dorky pose. :)
Putting this here because of T.O.P’s face, basically. Also what is it about Daesung in this book? He looks seriously good in that sweater. He should wear these kind of clothes more often, beige is a good colour on him.

Here we go again with the gtop. Seriously, the fact that they did selcas makes me unreasonably happy. It reminds me of the selcas they did back in 2006 and just recently I wondered if they still do those, and then this arrived.
They may have become superstars in those six years, owning more money than they could have ever dreamed, but when it comes down to it they are still the same dorky guys from back then. They are the same friends. That more than anything makes me adore these pictures. :)
If we’re talking selcas I can’t not include this one — LOOK AT JI’S HAPPY SMILE as he back-hugs Seunghyun like that. This is so couple-y that I can’t even….
I like that there is no posing here and that it kind of shows Jiyong in his “natural” environment: preparing for stage or a shoot, dressed casually.
It also showcases both his serious side (the one that makes him such a good artist and leader) and his kid side. He seriously has two different personalities, or ages if you’d like, and they’re blend together in this picture.
I feel like I haven’t seen that much pictures of just the three of them, so I really liked this series of pictures. :)
I thought this would be a good picture to finish with, eh.
(Do I even need to give an explanation for this one? I’ll just casually point out the fact that this is Big Bang sleeping, all cuddled up, all looking great, and if we’re talking friendship / fluff / bromance this is worth a hundred points.)
…special mention to Baeri and especially gtop, but I reckon that might be stating the obvious. :D
So yes, I loved the pictures: very high quality overall and you could see that they enjoyed shooting it as well. I think that is partly helped by the fact that it was shot outdoors: when you look at my two other favourite BB photo shoots (North Face in New Zealand and T.O.P in New York) those were shot outside as well. You just get better pictures when it’s outdoors, and the models tend to be more relaxed as well, so it’s a win-win.
I also liked that each member got enough screen time (or picture time, I should say) and that we could clearly see how well they all get along. They’re not just a band, they’re a great group of friends as well. :)
To summarise: a+ overall and I’ll think about me purchasing it!
